"My grandmother would whip this up whenever company dropped by in the summer, or for family dinners on Sunday afternoon. Top with sliced fresh fruit."

  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

Instructions :

Prep : Cook : 24M Ready in :
  • Prepare cake mix as directed on package.
  • For the frosting: In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth, then fold in whipped topping and mix until smooth. Spread on top of cooled cake.
  • Top with sliced fresh fruits, such as strawberries, kiwi, peaches, pineapple, blueberries, etc.
